குறள் – 37.

அறத்தா றிதுவென வேண்டா சிவிகை
பொறுத்தானோ டூர்ந்தான் இடை(1-4-7)

பல்லக்கை சுமப்பவர் மற்றும், அதன்மேலமர்ந்துசெல்லுபவரிடம் அறத்தின் பயன் இஃது என்று கூறவேண்டாம்.

Araththaa rithuvena venda sivikai
poruththaano tuoorndhaan idai
The fruit of virtue need not be described in books; it may be inferred from seeing the bearer of a palanquin and the rider therein.
