குறள் – 10.

பிறவிப் பெருங்கடல் நீந்துவர் நீந்தார்
இறைவன் அடிசேரா தார். (1-1-10)

Piravip perunkadal neendhuvar neendhaar
iraivan adiseiraa dhaar.

இறைவனின் அடிகளை இடைவிடாமல் நினைப்பவர் பிறவியாகிய பெரிய கடலைக் கடப்பர். மற்றவர் கடக்க இயலாதவராவர்.

None can swim the great ocean of births but those who are united to the feet of God.
